Designer Profile

I enjoy helping my customers pull their entire house together. My signature style has been called "elegant comfort". I take your desires, feelings and emotions and translate them into fabric, furniture and fixtures. My projects are special because of the individuals I work for. My projects are personal, unique and custom. I am easy to work, passionate about design, work on time, within budget, love helping people and will bring my talent to you. I work in both residential and commercial spaces and have been designing for more than 20 years. I will manage your project, so you don't have to! I am educated, experienced designer and do not design for myself. I design for my customers so that they love their space and love unlocking the door!

Services Offered

I love to work on the entire house but my favorite areas to design are: the kitchen because it is the heart of the home and I personally love to cook and entertain, the bathrooms because it is an important place to unwind and relax, the master bedroom because it is so unique and personal to my customers I like to create the space were they end and start their day, and the family/media room because that is the room where everyone comes together - children, family and friends - the room where memories are made.

Manchester by the Sea - library - I created a cozy and sophicated space to sit comfortably and read or enjoy an intimate conversation place with friends.
Manchester by the Sea - living room. Furniture purchased from Baker, Knapp & Tubbs with custom fabrics from Old World Weavers, Brunschwig & Fils, with a spectacular custom designed & colored carpet woven by Landry & Acraci using high quality wool and silk.
Manchester by the Sea - living room showing the fireplace end of the room and a better view of the gorgeous custom carpet.
Manchester by the Sea - library - close up shot showing the beautiful FDO fabrics and furniture by Kravet, custom curtain fabric by Schumacher with matching pillows on Kravet sofa.
Manchester by the Sea - living room - chairs from Robert Allen with custom fabric from Old World Weavers. I created a cozy corner for the family to play their favorite game near a window overlooking their beautiful terrace and gardens.
Manchester by the Sea - family room open to kitchen. A custom made and designed table creates a cozy spot to sip coffee or read the morning paper bathed in sunshine. Table designed by Griffin Interiors and built locally by Dean Richards in Ipswich. Sofa by Edward Ferrell & Lewis Mittman with custom fabric from Kravet. Custom curtains fabric by Schumacher - we used the game chairs because the homeowner loves them (why mess with perfection!) ottoman by Kravet with fabric repeated from game chairs to bring the room together. Another custom designed and colored carpet woven by Landry & Arcari using wool and silk - gorgeous!
Manchester by the Sea - family room and TV installation. The homeowners are not great TV watchers but do like to catch the Red Sox or Patriot games, so we hung the TV on the wall, hiding all the components in a near by, newly designed closet. The floating shelf adds just the right amount of interest and place to display beautiful items. A very comforable chair completes a conversation circle.
Manchester by the Sea - kitchen open to family room. A causal table and chairs to enjoy their gorment meals! Simply curtains using Schumacher fabric - just enough to finish the window without overdoing.
Manchester by the Sea - Country sink with Cherry cabinets and soap stone countertops - easy living for casual entertaining. Window fabric by Schumacher.
Manchester by the Sea - North Shore custom desk & book shelves - design by Griffin Interiors. The homeowner wanted a place for the children to do homework. The desk area provides a study space, computer access and storage for a collection of cookbooks and collectibles. Desk and shelves built locally in Ipswich by Dean Richards. Another great view of the custom designed and colored carpet!
Prides Crossing Foyer - opposite side. Custom designed bookcase for the homeowners lovely book collection. I added 3M window film to protect the priceless books from sun damage. New chandelier to finish the Old World feel of this gracious townhouse.
Prides' Crossing Foyer - new paint, re-upholstered camel back sofa with hand painted fabric from Brunschwig & Fig, new curtain panels using fabric from Old World Weavers. A classic space that is simply elegant and inviting! To keep the budget in check, I purchased an inexpensive side table from Crate & Barrel - looks great!
Sudbury - living room - close up detail to show how beautifully the trim picks up the carpet colors - as though they were made for each other. I remember how excited and delighted I was when I found the trim! So was the homeowner!
Sudbury - living room - a more traditional room, silk chair fabric by Schumacher. Green velvet sofa fabric by Old World Weavers. Curtain fabric and trim from FDO.
