Designer Profile

For me, design is thinking – thinking about you and your family – how you live - thinking about solutions to challenges - coming up with the Big Picture. The result of all the thinking is the design solution, which includes the plan of the space, possibly architectural elements, and the selections of furniture, fabric, lighting and art or accessories.

"Sally was an absolute joy to work with. Her creative talents along with a superb sense of style allowed us to create a stunning environment that constantly received accolades. I cannot say enough about her level of commitment and professionalism." - John Duffy

I work in a wide range of styles. Style is simply the right design solution for YOU. I believe that beauty can be expressed elegantly in contemporary, traditional or a personal eclectic mix. When you achieve the right balance point then the design is successful.

One of my specialties is my project management capabilities, honed over many years of working with corporate clients. Careful management of your project and budget is just as important as a beautiful
finished job – it’s the quality of the experience along the way.

Another of my specialties has come to light the more I work with poeple - and that is I am very intuitive. I can often sense where a client wants to go when they don't know how to express it themselves.

Please feel free to call me for a complimentary consultation about your special space.

Value for the dollar was exponential in this project. With its colorful, fun and inexpensive solutions.
Beach cottage fun - whimsical tin fish anchor this crate and barrel sitting area. Fun on the cheap.
A clean, colorful and contemporary living room corner. We created this space with a Boston condo location in mind.
Coffee tables are often the hardest items to find. We custom designed this coffee table in marble and stainless steel. It makes the urban like condo feel chic and contemporary.
Artwork was central to the successful design of this living room. This oil painting draws you in, is dramatic, but doesn't overwhelm the small condo space.
What was years ago an old barn is now a family friendly room. The addition was created during a renovation of the entire back of the house in Lincoln, MA.
We created a simple entertainment area, at one end of the family room, with period style cabinets to hide all the technology, in this Lincoln, MA 1880's home.
Delft tiles make a distinctive fireplace warm and friendly in this Family Room in Lincoln, MA.
What was an old estate stable on Boston's North Shore is now a French Style Living Room, thanks to a complete gutting and recreation of the interior by my firm. This project has won 10 national and regional awards.
You wouldn't recognize this space if you saw the before pictures. (We give many before and after presentations.) Now a Formal Dining Room with custom china cabinets exists where there was nothing before.
Formal Foyer
Where there is now a Custom Paneled Library, once there was just sponge painted drywall and no mouldings. This custom cabinetry we designed conceals the large screen TV, which rises up at the push of a button. Location: Boston's North Shore.
A completely paneled library was created with a great conversation sitting area.
A grand foyer with antique tapestry and custom rugs.
A complete Kitchen remodel for an Antique Colonial Home in Lincoln, MA. The old beams show the extent of the old part of the house. We helped with an addition, and planned the kitchen, along with a new seating nook and adjacent family room.
The cabinets that separate the kitchen from the family room were configured to look like a hutch. The new addition, with many windows across the back of the house, yields much more light and visual access to the great garden outside.
Kitchen for an Antique Colonial Home
This special French Country Kitchen was a complete gut job. We recreated everything you see here and sourced art and antiques to give it that special charm. I decided to have functioning, Italian villa style shutters made for the windows, rather than having a fabric window treatment. The chandelier you see here we found in Charleston, SC, and the other chandelier in the dining area, we bought in Newport, RI.
This French Country Style Kitchen began as a complete gut. We removed an 80's style plain kitchen and created a room that not only functions beautifully, but invites you to linger. This kitchen has won numerous awards, and been published in Kitchen Trends magazine, and New England Home magazine.
The Kitchen Dining Area, with its custom sofa, is where the homeowners now like to linger after dinner and watch the flames of their new fireplace across from the table. Location: North Shore of Boston, referred to in books as the Gold Coast.
